Wed, 29/06/2011

How much did a ticket cost for a Teatre Grec show in 1984? Who directed the festival in 1992? How many times has Peter Brook directed productions at the Grec? You will find information on all this and quite a bit more in the Barcelona Grec Festival digital archives, which you can consult online at www.bcn.cat/grec.

To mark its 35 anniversary, a complete digital archive is being launched with files on every play and concert that has been performed at the Grec Festival, starting with the very first edition. There is information on the directors and articles on the history of the festival written by the city's critics such as, Gonzalo Pérez de Olaguer, Pablo Ley, Juan Carlos Olivares and Joan Anton Benach.

Besides the files on 2,793 shows performed at the Grec, you will also find 971 photographs of the shows performed at 178 city venues. The posters for the various editions, audience programmes for shows put on between 2002 and 2010 and the full programme of the last ten editions, scanned and in PDF format, are just some of the additional material you will find in this digital archive.
